Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 August 2026 · Español · Русский

The short version. Obrok estimates calories and macros from the food photos and messages you send to @ObrokApp_bot, using AI. The estimates are approximate, not medical advice.

Your first 3 meal analyses are free. After that, plans start at €2.99 for a 7-day trial or €35.99 for a year. Plans renew automatically — the trial restarts as the annual plan after 7 days, and the annual plan restarts every year — until you cancel with /billing. (Paying with Telegram Stars is the one exception: those are one-time and never renew.)

Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under EU law.

1. Agreement & eligibility

These Terms are an agreement between you and Obrok (the operator described in the Privacy Policy). By using @ObrokApp_bot or the dashboard at obrok.app, you accept these Terms and that Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 years old and use your own Telegram account. If you don't agree, please don't use Obrok.

2. The Obrok service

Obrok is a personal nutrition tracker. You send food photos and/or text to the bot; Obrok identifies the food, estimates portions, calories and macronutrients, records them, and shows your history on a personal dashboard. You can correct any entry, and export or delete your data at any time.

3. AI & nutrition estimates

Obrok uses artificial intelligence to identify foods and estimate portions, calories and macronutrients. You are interacting with an AI-powered system. Because of that:

Obrok is a general wellness and nutrition-tracking tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on Obrok to make medical decisions, to manage a medical condition, for allergy safety, or to manage an eating disorder. Obrok will decline to optimise for extreme calorie targets. If you have health concerns, seek professional advice.

4. Free usage

Your first three successful meal analyses are free. Attempts that fail, that contain no food, or that error out do not count against your free analyses. After your three free analyses, continued analysis requires paid access.

There are two plans:

Whether a plan renews depends on how you pay:

Access runs from the moment of purchase. If you buy again, or renew, while you still have time left, the new period is added on top of your remaining time. When a period ends without renewal, it simply ends — you are not charged again, logging pauses, and your data and dashboard stay available in read-only form until you choose to delete them or buy again. Prices are in euro; any VAT or local tax that applies is shown and handled at checkout by the payment provider.

6. Payment & cancellation

You can pay in two ways:

If you paid by card and want to stop future automatic charges, use /billing in the bot at any time — it opens Stripe's secure billing portal, where you can cancel with one tap. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn't refund time you've already paid for, and your access continues until the end of your current paid period. You can also stop using Obrok whenever you like and erase your data with /deletedata. Refund and withdrawal rights are set out below.

7. Withdrawal & refunds

As an EU/EEA consumer you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital service (Directive 2011/83/EU). Because Obrok is delivered digitally and you usually want to start immediately, please note:

Beyond this, we deal with refund requests fairly and in good faith — for example where the service did not work as described. To request a refund or withdrawal, message /paysupport in the bot, or contact us; we aim to respond within 48 hours. Telegram Stars purchases may be refundable through Telegram; card purchases are refunded via Stripe.

For card plans that renew automatically: each automatic charge (the trial-to-annual conversion, and every yearly renewal) is a new payment, and the same withdrawal considerations above apply to it. We message you in the bot before each automatic charge so you have the chance to cancel first with /billing; cancelling before a charge means you're never billed for that period. None of this limits your mandatory statutory consumer rights (see §17).

8. Your content & licence

The photos, messages and meal information you send remain yours. To operate the service for you, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store and process that content, and to send it to our AI provider to generate your estimates, solely to provide Obrok to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to advertise to you or sell it.

9. Acceptable use

Please use Obrok only for its purpose — tracking your own food. To keep the service healthy, analyses are rate-limited (currently 20 per day) regardless of plan. Do not: send content you have no right to share; attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; use it to build a competing dataset or product; or use automation to abuse it. We may throttle or block behaviour that breaks these rules.

10. Third-party services

Obrok runs on Telegram and depends on it to deliver messages and (for Stars) to take payment; your use of Telegram is governed by Telegram's own terms and privacy policy. Payments by card are handled by Stripe, and meal analysis is performed by Anthropic. We are not responsible for those third parties' own services, but we choose them carefully — see the Privacy Policy for who receives what.

11. Privacy

How we handle your data — including exactly what happens to a food photo, who else is involved, international transfers and your GDPR rights — is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Availability & changes

Obrok is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may improve or change features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces paid access you have already bought, we will act fairly and, where appropriate, offer a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

13. Suspension & termination

You can stop at any time and erase everything with /deletedata. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms (for example, abuse or unlawful use), and we will tell you why where we can. If we decide to discontinue Obrok altogether, we will give reasonable notice, let you export your data, and refund any unused paid period.

14. Intellectual property

Obrok, its name, the bot, the website and the dashboard, and the software behind them, belong to the operator. These Terms don't give you any rights in them beyond using the service as intended. Your own content stays yours (§8).

15. Disclaimers

Except for the responsibilities we accept in these Terms and any that the law does not allow us to exclude, Obrok is provided "as is", without other warranties. In particular, we don't warrant that estimates will be accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. See §3 for the nutrition and health position.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and except as stated in §17, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Obrok is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law.

17. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have rights under mandatory EU and national consumer-protection law that these Terms do not affect. Where anything in these Terms conflicts with those mandatory rights, your rights prevail.

18. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the EU member state where Obrok's operator is established, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country of residence. As a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. You can also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms — for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will announce material changes through the bot before they take effect and update the date above. Continuing to use Obrok after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Contact
